Winterbourne CC, Glos 212/1 beat Stoke Gifford 93/9 by 119 runs
Stoke Gifford faced a formidable challenge on their Division 6 East road trip to The Recreation Ground, where host side Winterbourne CC put on a remarkable display with the bat to claim a 119-run victory.
After winning the toss, Winterbourne elected to bat first and immediately set a rapid pace on home turf. Opening batter Ansh Patel proved to be the standout performer of the first innings, accumulating an unbeaten 109. Stoke Gifford's attack rotated through eight bowlers in an effort to break the momentum—including Jamie Franks, Alex Thompson Juan, Shabir Azizi, Henry Birt, Alex Carr, Roland Jones, and Christian Brennan—but chances were hard to come by. Robbie Seward provided the bright spark with the ball, delivering four disciplined overs to take 1 for 31, securing the solitary wicket when he bowled Damian Lingard for 8. Will Joyce kept up the run rate with a well-made 52 before retiring, while Arjun Chib added a punchy 27 not out to propel the home side to a total of 212 for 1 from their 20 overs.
Chasing a target over ten runs an over was always going to be a steep hill to climb, and Stoke Gifford's response got off to a tricky start against a sharp opening spell from Jason Cowan and Amandeep Dutta. Dutta hit his stride early, taking 3 for 19 from his four overs, including a maiden. He bowled Lewis Jefferies for 6 and had Ryan Edwards caught by Sam Coles for 14. Alex Carr fought hard to build momentum for the visitors, top-scoring in the top order with 20, but his promising stay was curtailed when he was run out by Coles.

Christian Brennan added 9 before being caught off Tony Shellard, while Robbie Seward (6) and Jamie Franks (1) offered support before both falling to Andy Parsons, who ended with 2 for 8. Stoke Gifford held firm to bat out their full 20 overs, closing on 93 for 9.
