Electing to bowl first after winning the toss, Stoke Gifford seized early control. Lewis Jefferies set the tone with a razor-sharp opening burst, clean bowling both Ian Mollison (2) and Martyn Tozer (9) to reduce the hosts to 15/2. Stoke Gifford kept the squeeze on through the Black bowling trio. Joe Black bowled Narendar Thatikonda for 11, before Harry Black struck twice in quick succession, dismissing Ian Roylance (1) lbw and bowling Ruaraidh Macdonald (1). When Jamie Black trapped Sreekanth Sreedhar lbw for 14, Frampton Cotterell were in deep trouble at 49/6.

However, Stoke Gifford slammed the door shut just as quickly. Jefferies returned to shatter Allen's stumps at 110/7, triggering a rapid collapse of the lower order. He was well supported by Matt Semple, who made 15, and Nathan Daniels, who injected brisk energy with a rapid 15 from just 10 balls. Lewis Jefferies then completed a superb all-round match by striking five boundaries in a quickfire 21 from 18 deliveries.
